Our farm soap features egg yolks from our chickens, and local Vermont honey, and beeswax. And while we don’t use lanolin from our own sheep in this soap, we do use a touch of lanolin in their honor!
Egg yolks have been used in soaps since the 1800’s and provide extra creaminess to the lather. Honey, beeswax, and lanolin bring conditioning properties to the soap and help make the bar hard and long lasting. The soap naturally has a very pleasant, soft, earthy fragrance that is accented with a touch of lavender and patchouli essential oil.
Hand poured and cut, about 4.8 oz. wt., and wrapped in a beautiful wrapper hand painted by Vermont artist Gabe Tempesta. Design features Molly, our pet chicken, and Martha, a Leicester Longwool sheep.
Ingredients: Saponified plant oils (olive oil, organic palm oil, organic coconut oil, organic castor seed oil), egg yolks, honey, beeswax, lanolin, essential oils, kaolin clay, and lavender buds.
